Jenny Rodgerson and David Moore have been great supporters of the Salvage Yard since we opened our gates early last year… and we are serious fans of their combined creative talent… oil on canvas and housing design and construct, with a love of recycled materials!
This beautiful building was ‘reconstructed’ as complimentary to the Old St. Mary’s Church of England in Elphinstone (side note: St Mary’s Church of England was constructed from the left over red bricks used in the construction of the rail tunnel through to Chewton).
Jenny describes the building as;
‘kind of a modern shed conversion to multi purpose kitchen/self catering/overnight accom/solar housing off grid shed!’, this building has made great use of ex commercial double glazed windows, decking and recycled merbau, ripped down to form the cladding, all from our yard.
… ethereally named ‘Song to the Moon’, this will be a gorgeous addition to unique central vic accommodation options, no doubt filled with some incredible art works, their website splash page is up… and I believe the business will be active early this year (keep checking back and stay tuned!).
Thanks Jenny and David for your support, and for allowing us to share your work on our page!
